I was penetrated by something like electricity, which was pleasant, like Bach music, and reminded me of the whimsical trills of the composer's stringed instruments. I felt like my body was composed of myriad ears, listening to a heavenly melody of thousands of nightingales, directed by the angel of the art of the celestial harmony.
Then silence. A silence made my ears almost feel pain. Lena was looking at me.
"We did it!" she spoke directly to my mind.
"I heard you. Are you listening to me?"
She nodded affirmatively. I headed for the door, and she followed. I stepped outside, took the keys that were inside, and locked the door.
"Why did you lock up?"
"Just in case," I sent her a thought, realizing that I probably did not need to lock. It wasn't wrong, though.
